"Sisters make the best friends."

that's what was written on the keychain.

we were going to alaminos tomorrow so we went to pick up nanang[my lola]. as she was preparing for bedtime, she got this keychain out of her purse and gave it to me. "this is my other gift to you," she said, smiling. it was given to her by auntie eve, her sister, her best friend. the saying on the keychain moved me to tears, but i tried hard not to cry. i smiled and said "thank you, nanang." it was thoughtful of her, because of the value it held, the bond between sisters.

you'll never know how much you love your sister unless she's gone away. i thought i only despised her at times, because she was annoying. i thought i wouldn't miss her. i was wrong.

i now sleep alone in the bed we once shared. i now had more pillows. there were now only four table settings on the table. there was more space, but it was really lonely. everytime i think about her it was hard not to cry. [hala, i'm getting emotional. o_O] don't worry, i'm already used to sleeping alone. and she's always in my prayers.

BTW. omgomgomgomg. youknowwhat!?
on christmas eve [or whatever you call the time when the clock strikes 12 and everybody says merry christmas], kuya paul said "merry christmas" and hugged me. FOR THE FIRST TIME. i was ultimo shocked. anyway, that made me closer to him. that was probably the best christmas gift that year.

i still can't believe my brother hugged me. ._.
