The Foundation Day. oh, the horrors.
Tuesday, September 22, 2009
once upon a time, there was a booth named Jail Booth. and it is oh-so-famous for jailing people.
on a whim, Jail Booth suddenly decided to include tortures in this wretched booth, aside from the normal catch-and-bail. the most horrific torture of all was to be handcuffed with--- dramatic pause.
Martin Josef Vivo.
eaurgh. ok, stop.
so, Jail Booth's sales increased with the tortures and stuff. by midday, JB was hoarding cash. then, the request came. the warden and the mastermind of the torture (same person) was requested to jail one of her best friends- plus the best friend's boyfriend. and here's the catch: to handcuff the best friend with Martin Josef Vivo. the warden obliged, seeing that it would last fifteen minutes, tops.
and so the warden fetched the two lovebirds and jailed them, trotted off to find Mr. Vivo, found him, and handcuffed him with the best friend. it was a pain to see, alright. suddenly feeling thirsty, the warden went out to buy some drinks. lo and behold, when warden came back, there was a commotion!
the key to the handcuffs were missing. it was not with the warden. it was MISSING.
Vivo was throwing a tantrum. I saw his head had purple marks from banging his head on the chair. best friend was hiding her head on her boyfriend. she was crying. the jail personnel tried to pick the lock, no use. much worse, Vivo pressed his handcuffs deeper in his wrist (stupid, i know) but it was unretractable, so it remained like a dog that chomped his hand and had a lockjaw. we were sure he would be a candidate for amputation.
so, hither and thither the warden went, running to and fro, and finally went to the last hope, the guard. he got help from the nearby mall, which had keys to handcuffs. in a matter of minutes the handcuffs were off. the warden apologized to both parties (Vivo and best friend) and saw best friend cry in relief. her boyfriend comforted her. the warden was really touched.
after all was taken care of, the sorrys, the reparations and stuff, the warden finally stood next to her other best friend, her cousin, and cried everything. cried because she handcuffed her best friend. cried because she had to go through this. cried because Vivo was so scary. cried because she had to give her Zagu (her only drink for the day) to Vivo. cried because she was so tired. and cried because she was the one who lost the key and was afraid to admit it.
don't worry, she apologized to best friend on the next school day.
you might wonder why i know all of this.
i was the warden.
i lost the key somewhere around the eucalyptus tree and the island. God knows where it may be.
i had to tell this because such things have traumatized me, and i had to tell it because if not... i don't know. haha.
P.S. Jail Booth earned a lot!!! :p
